​The year it all began! It was WHS football Coach Raycraft's vision to provide an avenue for football players and cheerleaders to give back. The team chose cancer as their focus, sold gold bracelets and played the first Blackout Cancer Football Game under the lights.

​The year it all began! It was WHS football Coach Raycraft's vision to provide an avenue for football players and cheerleaders to give back. The team chose cancer as their focus, sold gold bracelets and played the first Blackout Cancer Football Game under the lights.

2014

600 t-shirts sold
​The Blackout Cancer t-shirt sale grew and Jill Barlett's Leadership Class started Coins for Cole. Windham rallied in a big way at the Blackout Cancer Game with over 2,000 attendees. Donation was given to St. Baldrick's Foundation.

2016

​1,600 t-shirts sold

Windham rallied in a big way exceeding all expectations and delivered a wonderful cash donation to Sophia's Fund who assists families in their crusade against pediatric cancer and fund research. In addition, hundreds of toys and BandAids were delivered to Tufts Medical Center from donations collected at schools and businesses in town. Windham is amazing!

​The Blackout T-shirts became popular as the football players and cheerleaders sold them during school. Lights were rented once again and friends came out to see their home town football play under the lights at the Blackout Cancer Game. Proceeds were given to the American Cancer Society.

Blackout Cancer Football game became Windham Blackout Cancer Week - all the schools, teams,  and many community businesses participated in raising awareness for pediatric cancer. Donation was given to St. Baldrick's Foundation.

It was a magical week with participation from all part of Windham. The Blackout Cancer game drew record attendance of over 3,000 people and cancer families were touched by the showing of support
